For the last 25 years I have been a regular beach walker. Most days start with a walk along one of my local beaches with my dog. Over this time I have noticed small changes - more rubbish each year, more damage after a storm, the slow reduction in sand dunes. I have always made a point of picking up rubbish if I see it at the beach. This recent winter felt a little defeating for me, the sheer quantity of rubbish swept up after big southerly swells has been, at times, overwhelming. Consequently my focus has shifted from the "natural" to "man made", and reflecting on the environmental issues affecting our coastlines. This collection is intended to spark a conversation .... let's talk ...
