I have used the textures of Hawaiian coral in a number of my jewellery pieces. I love the centre of the divets in the coral, the detail is beautiful. The mould I use for creattng the wax models for casting was made on a girls trip to Hawaii a few years ago. We were on a roadie around the northern beach O'ahu when I found the some beautiful pieces of coral on the beach.
After having the earrings cast in Sterling Silver I have added 23.5ct gold to the centre of each one using the keum boo gilding process.
